 'ThE @iktz' is essentially the creative vehicle of Denis Karimani and The Westend Ghetto Posse, an ex-Mc.Donalds-employee. The skills behind this projects brand of nuJazz, rare elektro grooves, fresh breaks and dark noFuture-elements belong chiefly to the mastermind behind the project, Mr. George 'The Buttman' Putman and Karen 'The Houseslut' Cooper. Usually Karen specialized in minimalist electro-dance music but nowadays she's intro the porn-biz as an serious actress and vocalist for several soundtracks for x-rated movies. The sistas' work combines sweet, harmonious garage vocals over the traditional sound of her own label 'Naughty Bpitches', an dark-elektro flavoured project from Berlin. Believe her, she really loves house-music and butt-sex! Goerge Putman is the name under which the former DJ and Producer 'Kevin Longdong' released his bizarre house singles, whose big beat rythms prefigured the music of BRA and Propellerheads. The most memorable of these was undoubtely 'I fucked the Dj' which sampled an excitable MTV-news-commentator. Together with Karen he's nowadsays into the xxx-biz and making profit out of pervertion. The Masterminds behind 'ThE @iktZ' are two youths from Munich/Germany and Hamburg/Germany, who topped the Billboard charts with 'Fix2Fix' and 'Switch of reality', songs anchored by the mighty bassline to the Jackson 5's "I want your back". Both producers were just 15 years old when they scored 'switch of reality', the fastest-selling single Papua New Guinea had seen for 23 years. In the process they instigated a batch of 'retro-elektro'-clones. Both masterminds were discovered in 1996 by writer/producer Frank Farian, when he was searching for nude models for his upcoming video-shoot for his new song "Red Tuesday".
