moin techno-freunde,
wir bereiten gerade eine reihe fantastischer releases für unser 10jähriges Jubiläum vor !
ich dachte mir ich gebe einen ersten ausblick auf die ersten drei monate des kommenden jahres als erstes hier ... im online-techno-herzstück ... preis.
(ps: auch für den rest des jahres haben wir noch einige dicke überraschungen in der pipeline)

When numbers become symbols, important events are in the air !
“10/100” not only denotes Kanzleramt celebrating its 10th anniversary, but also the 100th release of the Berlin-based label with this first ever Various Artist 12inch in the history of the label. Johannes Heil, Alexander Kowalski, Diego and label-head Heiko Laux celebrate 10 years kanzleramt each with an exclusive unreleased track representing themselves.
But that´s not all … those of you envisaging a small get-together for the record-release with ten candles where only the immediate family is present, is on the wrong track.
Because, in line with the label’s tradition, there are going to be a number of select parties with immediate physical contact with the fans. For label head Heiko Laux, 2004 also means the year of his comeback in the clubs as a live act – after all, his last live performance was more than seven years ago. In spring 2004 he is touring Europe’s ten most exciting cities together with Diego, Alexander Kowalski and his studio neighbour Theo Schulte with whom he runs the Offshore project. “We are calling at clubs that we particularly like. The fact that we will all be playing live also came about, simply because we know how to do it,” says Heiko Laux. “And playing live is the most direct way. The live line-up to mark Kanzleramt’s 10th anniversary is really amazing.” The tour begins in Berlin at the 24th of January.
The “10/100” record will be out in stores a week later … the 30th of January !

Finally Techno-Pioneer Damon Wild has completed his new album "Downtown Worlds".
It´s his 3rd solo album and the first one for kanzleramt ( dedicated to his daughther Eva ).
This album is more on the groovier, clubbier side of Damon. The album follows up his last 12inch single on kanzleramt released exactly one year ago with huge success in clubworld.
“Downtown Worlds” does might sound harder and more minimal than other kanzleramt records and especially albums but the general mood of all tracks on this album fits very well with labelowner Heiko Laux´s understanding of pushing but groovy club-techno.
Damon Wild is the president of Synewave. He has been producing music since 1991, and djing since the age of 15. He is recognized for his productions as a solo artist as well as for his collaborations. He is well known for his early acid tracks such as "Bang the Acid", "Ego Acid","Afghan Acid", , Equinox "Pulzar", "Avion", Morph, to his more recent electronic "Subtractive Synthesis" series.
In 1992, he worked as label chief at Experimental Records, NYC (NCP,EX).
After his first year of living in NYC, Damon and his roomate Ray Love teamed up to produce a top 10 UK hit, Toxic Two "Rave Generator". This was a start to his production career. In 1995, Damon decided it was time to begin his own label...Synewave. Damon has produced over 90 productions and 3 previous albums, since his start in 1989.

This XXXXXXL 12inch features two of the most played tracks from Alexander Kowalski´s last album “|response|” remixed by some of the best techno artists in the world !
The a side contains a string laden and bass-fuelled techno mix by Soma artist Funk D´Void.
Lars Sandberg aka Funk D'Void is the intergalactic gigolo and spacefunk ambassador of Soma Records. The Barcelona resident is one of Europe’s leading DJ’s and his productions are in a class of their own. His remix of “You think you know ?” is just excellent and will be a massive club hit for sure.
The b side sounds like the total opposite mood – hard industrial psycho post acid techno – by the British Murder Boys consisting of Birmingham´s techno masters Surgeon & Regis.
Both are possibly UK´s best known hard techno producers with many successful releases on their own labels Downwards, Dynamic Tension and Counterbalance. “Emtec” sounds even more pounding through their hands and turns out as the best evil sounding track in techno history. Satan jumps right out of the speakers to eat your souls … just let him do … you´ll love it !

we´ll have a big meeting later on today with a director, his film team and a sound engineer to discuss a possible kanzleramt live dvd from the big "10/100" 10 years kanzleramt tour-stop in berlin, the 24th of January at Maria am Ufer. this party with live shows only (no dj sets) by Dave Ellesmere, Double X, Fabrice Lig, Johannes Heil, Alexander Kowalski, Heiko Laux presents Offshore Funk, Damon Wild and Diego would be the perfect night for a dvd. a possible release date could be end of May 2004, before we start with many live appearances on the big summer festivals all over Europe. more infos soon.
würde mich auch freuen, wieder mal was von K2O zu hören. nach den schönen "Guitar Treatments" und "OS" war dort ja nicht mehr so viel los.

Jetzt nichts musikalisch gegen Kowalski und so, aber ne Live DVD klingt für mich irgendwie schon nach Geldschneiderei wenn ich mich an Kowalski live @ fusion 2002 erinnere - mit gelangweiltem Gesicht eine halbe Stunde Spuren getriggert und dann auf Nimmerwiedersehen. Auf DVD möcht ich mir das nicht ansehen. Aber vielleicht ist er damit beim KA ja der Aussenseiter und alle anderen rocken krass ab.

Schließe mich da in allen Punkten HoWi an ! Obwohl sich meine Platten von Kanzleramt alle auf Kowalski beschränken Aber davon hab ich fast alle.......
