Jody Wisternoff has been implementing his production skills throughout the music industry for well over 2 decades and constantly developing his sound, which is still extremely fresh.
He is the latest producer to take the rains for the the Anjunadeep 05 compilation.
You’ve just been in control of your first Anjunadeep mix how was that for you? Could you tell us a little bit about the process behind it?
We started taking submissions last summer, I hit up a bunch of producers/friends and also did a lot of Soundcloud surfing. All the Anjunadeep stalwarts were approached, and I specifically wrote a few originals and remixes for the comp. Near the end of the process I decided to reshape a few of the tracks that had already been released as singles, to keep things fresh for the comp.

LuckyMe cohort Jacques Greene is considered one of those young producers who’d rather let the music do the talking than get wrapped up in transient fashions and trends. Maintaining a steady output of characterfully deep dance floor burners, Jacques is more concerned with mastering his craft than masterminding any meteoric rise to the top. With his releases on LuckyMe and Night Slugs, the Montreal-based producer fused pacey two-step rhythms with breathy synthwork and r&b vocals to create the kind of spangled neon atmospheres that every club worth its salt wants bouncing round the walls. Jacques knows the importance of keeping the dancers on their toes, and with a bunch of surprises up his sleeve, like a live analogue set-up, the launch of his own label, Vase Records, and his Ready 12" on Martyn’s 3024 label, he shows that he’s the kind of producer who’s more than happy to run things at his own pace.

‘Let You Go’ is a big room vocal anthem, pure and simple. Opening with Tiki’s lyrics riding the break before we dive head first into a massive square wave bassline mover with soaring synths and pads drifting over the top and Tiki’s ‘I cannot let you go’ refrain to take you away. The mood darkens considerably for ‘Freedom Come’ with DRS sounding like you’ve never heard him before.
The title track ‘You Can Dream’ takes us back up into the ethereal realm with soothing strings and Steo’s vocal sitting delicately over body rocking drums and more of A.I’s trademark studio manipulation that always manages to take things up another level.

It's been a rough few years for fans of James Holden. Since releasing his debut album, The Idiots Are Winning, in 2006, the UK producer's output has totalled a DJ Kicks mix and the music he produced for Kate Wax's 2011 album Dust Collision. Holden has also busied himself with running his label, Border Community, and DJing. But the news of Holden's forthcoming second album, The Inheritors, was welcomed as his return. This dearth of music had not dented Holden's reputation as one of electronic music's most gifted producers. He boldly explored melody and glitch across his mid-'00s output, writing classics like "A Break in The Clouds" and his remix of Nathan Fake's "The Sky Was Pink," while in turn Border Community fostered a family of artists that shared a similar sensibility but each brought something different to the table.
Every artist likes to describe themselves as “singular and innovative” but few can hold a candle to Holden in the world of electronic experimentation. This year’s album “The Inheritors” on his own, ever inspiring Border Community label was a psychedelic lesson in sonic exploration and led to a new live show after personally being asked by Thom Yorke to support his Atoms For Peace project across America. Avery adds “as well as being a vitally important producer on the scene, James has always been one of the most interesting DJs out there. He pushes things forward. We need people like him at the moment and, after playing a gig together in a Parisian palace earlier this year, I’m really excited to have him on the show.”

Two days ago, unstoppable UK artist Four Tet performed a live set at the Hostess Club Weekender in Tokyo, and for those of us who happened to not be in that particular part of Japan on December 1, a recording of the music Kieran Hebden played that afternoon can now be streamed & downloaded in full. The DJ/producer eases into his drum-heavy set with a particularly lush rendition of Beautiful Rewind cut "Ba Teaches Yoga," and eventually gets the dancefloor warmed up with the twinkling, polyrhythmic grooves of the "Jupiters" single from his superb Pink album. Plenty more fan favorites appear throughout the hour-long set, all of which is available to hear via the player above.

’90s house music fans, only you will probably get this. Boysnoize Records has just announced that the label’s cream of the crop have been working on a compilation album paying tribute to the jackin’ booty house sound curated by Chicago’s Dance Mania Records back in the ’80s and ’90s feature 14 brand new originals from Boys Noize, SCNTST, DJ Feadz, Strip Steve, Bok Bok, Tom Trago, Harvard Bass, Housemeister, the Dance Mania boss himself DJ Funk as well as more friends of the BNR crew.
Alex Ridha, aka Boys Noize, had this to say on the inspiration for the album: “Many 12″s from DJ Funk, DJ Deeon or Paul Johnson that were produced in the middle of the 90s still work so well in any club environment. The idea of simple, jackin’ booty house records to use as tools, more or less, have always been timeless weapons in many DJ sets.” Fans of DM should also be gearing up for the huge Dance Mania retrospective compilation set to drop next year.

I have always been a fan of Danny Byrd and I have always found his style unique and enjoyable, if a bit repetitive when you listen to him for a long time, though that is true of most artists and human beings in general. His new album is a slightly more grown up sound for Danny Byrd and has an admirable, if subtle difference in sound to his previous work. It is not going to change the world of drum and bass, but there is no reason that many of the tracks from the album could find their way into clubs and going out playlists. Undoubtedly the hottest new weekly on the White Isle this summer, Solomun’s + 1 had a consistently stellar line up from beginning to end and this occasion was no exception.
One of the many reasons why this weekly was so successful – and of course the venue and the awesome lineup play a part – is Solomun’s versatility. Here is an artist who consistently manages to merge his style with whoever his guest may be for the night and to have fun while at it.
One of the most diverse and ingenious sets from two artists who come from two very different sides of the spectrum. Despite their distinct styles and take on house music, Ame’s Kristian Beyer and Solomun manage to smoothly and elegantly meld their styles for your listening pleasure.
It’s quite a treat to watch two musicians of this caliber collaborate in such a way that their camaraderie produces a vibe that can be felt even by someone at home hundreds of miles away.
And that’s precisely the beauty of house music: it brings people from all walks of life and all parts of the world together in such a way which you will experience firsthand in this set, especially after the 30 minute mark.

Audio's first experience with electronic music was in the Early 90's with the Colin Dale and Colin Favour radio shows on Kiss 100. He was instantly hooked, and when, a few years later, the classic "Wormhole" LP on Virus recordings was released, there was no turning back and he embraced the underground family that we know and love as, Drum and Bass. Inspired to start Djing, non-stop record buying and mixing followed, and he was soon playing at local illegal raves around London.

Attempted by so many people vainly, Dominik Eulberg is the one who can claim for himself having reconciled ornithology and techno successfully. Dominik Eulberg, raving ornithologist from the Westerwald is both: an international booked DJ in spotlight and an observer of the domestic Flora and Fauna in quiescence – a master of reconciled contradictions.
Since he released his first disc in 2003 on Traum Schallplatten, the superior producer disperses ecological expertise and the sound of chirping birds in his tracks. He uses nature as a contentual and dramaturgical source of inspiration for his productions since 1993.
A walk in the woods – this is Dominik´s Blueprint for exciting music, because "there you never know what is expecting you behind the next junction". In the forest some rustle in the coppice can turn into a hookline: every single sound is important and endows the tracks with the necessary vitality the dancefloor needs. If minimum or maximum: Not giving a damn, the audience loves extraordinary character as much as a great Basedrum. Combining both, Dominik isn´t held in high esteem - which he usually savours in more blinkered clubs all around the world – wrongly.
"More flesh to the bones", this is his motto. In times of skeletonized diet-techno this is an indispensable estimation more than ever. This is one of the reasons why the DJ, producer and remixer did more than just establishing reputation. Since many years he masters the situationally rocking on 12”-format just as the full-length of an album.
In 2007 Dominik was awarded the "Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik" for his second album "Heimische Gefilde", with which he achieved a lot for the generation-spanning acceptation of techno. It was released on Traum Schallplatten, which is run by its most important patrons Jacqueline and Riley Reinhold. He repeatedly obtained front positions at readers polls of the magazines groove, Raveline and De:Bug. He was even voted for Newcomer and Producer of the year. Also his creations as DJ and his Remixes for various artists such as Hot Chip, DJ Hell, Tiefschwarz, Nathan Fake or Roman Flügel were awarded several times.
He will continue to indulge his affectation for more emotionality in the beat-corset in future. The creativity of his musically work will stay complex and innovative, but remains always accessible due to the inherent down-to-earthness. After all one wants to take his audience on a journey, not wanting to ditch it at the ticket counter.

With Involv3r, Sasha continues the series’ trend of taking tracks from his current favourite producers and reworking their various elements into a continuous mix that reflects his DJing style, with the result being a kind of hybrid DJ mix/artist album.
When you’re talking about dance music, Sasha should always be a part of the conversation. Since first popularising a new, sophisticated house sound back in the 90s as the first resident of Renaissance, he just hasn’t stopped.
In the studio, he’s earned himself chart success and a Grammy nomination for his productions, compilations and remixes. And he seems to be constantly on tour, playing marathon sets to adoring fans all over the globe, from Miami's WMC to the one and only Space Ibiza.

We would tell you all about Redshape, but we don’t know who he actually is. He hides his real identity behind a red mask at all times, even wearing it onstage at his club dates around Europe, which of late there have been many. We do know the man behind the mask lives in Berlin, he does a rocking live act and he’s released half a dozen tracks over the last year or so on labels such as Delsin, Styrax Leaves and Music Man. We also can reveal he has studied a lot of old Detroit techno records: His sound is a new update on old school templates, and it’s getting a thorough rinsing by DJs as diverse as Laurent Garnier, Josh Wink, Âme and Cassy.
“I don’t prepare any details like breakdowns or mixes before I go on stage,” says Redshape. “My plan is to do a recordable jam session which is kinda organic and never really the same in any of its components while still sounding straight.”

Matteo Milleri and Carmine Conte don’t need much of an introduction. Since arriving on the scene as Tale Of Us in 2010, the Italian duo have steadily cultivated a global reputation for their idiosyncratic and difficult to pigeonhole dance-music.
From early outings in muted melodies on Visionquest, to their dance-floor aimed remixes of Tiefschwarz and Thugfucker, and co-running their Life and Death label with DJ Tennis, the pair have consciously etched out their own niche within the dance-music spectrum.
The last twelve months have seen the pair continue to push and evolve their sound, collaborating with indie band The/Das and working on their debut album (originally tipped for release last year, but now pushed back to this autumn at the earliest).
What’s more, April sees the release of the duo’s first commercial mix: a two-disc genre spanning affair for the British club institution Renaissance. Taking in everything from Gold Panda to Robert Hood, the mix encapsulates the enigmatic and rule-breaking approach the Italian pair have built their musical careers on.
Tale of Us, are currently using Berlin as a base for their visionary musical quest. Combining house and techno with influences from pop, nu-disco or even rock music, they managed to create a unique sound, the rest is history.

Over the past few years, Mano Le Tough has become one of the shooting stars of the international dance music scene. His impact has been so great that Kristian Beyer of Âme claimed recently in an interview that: "Thanks to Mano Le Tough, I have no fears for the future of House". And not just Beyer, the entire Innervisions gang including Âme and Dixon have become fervent supporters of Mano Le Tough's warm and melodic, yet driving sound.
Niall Mannion as Mano is known to his parents, is originally from Greystones, a seaside village near Dublin, Ireland. After an eclectic musical youth and a move to Berlin, Mannion first popped up on the electronic music radar in 2009 with an ep on legendary disco Viking Prins Thomas' Internasjonal label. With his unique mixture of modern disco, atmospheric house and electronica (although musical genres like these do not quite capture the essence of Mano's music; he prefers to describe it as "cool songs" or "Folkal House" which seem in some way more appropriate), Niall quickly gained massive interest in his music. So it was no surprise that eps on such acclaimed labels as Tensnake's Mirau imprint, Dirt Crew recordings and Ben Watt's Buzzin Fly followed his remarkable debut. In no time Mano also became a much sought after remixer for the likes of Aloe Blacc , Midnight Magic, Flowers and Sea Creatures and Roisin Murphy.
That Mano also knows his onions as a DJ has been proven over the years at his monthly party in Berlin called Passion Beat, which he runs with his old friend and fellow paddy "The Drifter" (with him and their friend Baikal they also set up their own label "Maeve" in 2012 ). With his ever growing reputation, he soon got heavily booked worldwide and became a regular in some of the best clubs in the world including Panorama Bar, Trouw and Robert Johnson. All of his great experiences as a musician and artist culminate now in Mano Le Tough's first long player, "Changing Days" on Permanent Vacation. Fully aware that the album format is still the most important statement of a musician, Mano succeeds in this field with flying colors by not falling into the obvious traps of making a "dance" album with 11 songs that all seem to sound that same. Similar to his labelmate and buddy John Talabot Mano manages to expand his stylistic palette to more than "just" dance or club music. Instead he creates his own distinct sound and musical vision with bittersweet melodies and atmospheric moods that should appeal to ravers and more pop trained ears alike. On the album Mano brings to perfection what he began to explore on his last few eps, especially by using his own voice as a unique musical instrument and as a transmitter to communicate with his audience.
But let the great Irishman speak for himself: "I guess I try and make music that has an emotional resonance without being overly sentimental or schmalzy. It means a lot to me to try and connect with the listener on a deeper level and add something to their lives that's more than a hands in the air 5am moment in a club (although there is nothing wrong with that)."

Solomun (Diynamic Music) @ Diynamic Showcase - The BPM Festival 2014, Blue Parrot Beach Club - Mexico (09.01.2014)
Solomun has played a major role in redefining European House Music, with productions, remixes and stand-out DJ sets that take the very building blocks of House and sensitively reconstruct them: adding a fresh, ultramodern twist to the genre. A well-respected underground producer for a number of years, he regularly hits the top spot of readers’ polls in music industry magazines - confirming his measure in every important category.
His stratospheric rise in popularity kicked off in 2012, after a legendary first season on Ibiza with his own label-inspired Diynamic Neon Nights at Sankeys.
Here, he and his crew took up the challenge and initiated a take-over of what was becoming a clichéd scene. This first assault on the White Island brought Solomun his just-rewards in the shape of Best Producer title at the DJ Awards Ibiza and DJ of the Year from Mixmag Magazine. It follows that “Neon Nights” will continue at Sankeys again this summer, along with an own night every Sunday at Pacha/Ibiza “Solomun +1”.
Solomun loves the studio, this is clear from his output: always emotive, visceral, authentic and always promoting his reasoning that “Music is Moments”. That said, his passion for DJing can never be questioned by anyone who’s seen him in-action, all over the world. As head of Diynamic Music, he’s a consistent but still he’s not afraid to take the audience on a journey. It’s a sensual style where deepness, funkiness and human vocals go hand in hand.
Running two successful labels (Diynamic and 2DIY4), one of the most respected underground Clubs in Germany (EGO) and the Diynamic Radio Show (broadcast in over 30 countries), is a true indicator of Solomun’s deep love of music and of his people. His work ethic is managed in much the same way that he brings a variety of influences into his music: a little soft touch here, a cool dance move over there and a real, honest commitment to “Doing It Yourself”.

Chris Liebing is a Techno pioneer, dj, producer, CLR podcast host, radio host and the driving force behind CLR. He has been one of the first djs who fully embraced the digital age of music. Since then he has never stopped working on his dj and production setup’s and has finally reached a point of complete satisfaction with his technical and artistic possibilities.
After a whole decade of constant label work, Chris Liebing and his team are drawing a balance. Over the last 10 years, he and many renowned producers have released their music on CLR, turning it into a consistent and increasingly successful Techno imprint. The jubilee of this well-established label gave reason for a complete renovation of the brand, with a renewal of the corporate identity, new logo and the new web domain: www.clr.net
The recent chapter in the labels history also gave a new meaning to the abbreviation “CLR”: “Create Learn Realize”. A decade of “creating and learning” has passed and it is time for the next step named “realization”.

Celebrating it's 10th birthday this year, Aus Music was the brainchild of Will Saul, who also founded the imprint's sister label Simple Records and Ninja Tune artist, Fink. Aside from his DJing, Will is also an A&R and producer, having remixed for Little Dragon, Scuba, Fink, Pearson Sound, and The Juan Maclean to name just a few. He was also a resident at the legendary End club in London for many years before it closed it's doors in 2009.
Aus Music is home to a diverse roster of artists, having released music by Appleblim, Joy Orbison, George Fitzgerald and Deetron, with the focus being to release more experimental and leftfield sounds to Simple.

Guy Gerber has always been comfortable as an outlier. From being the rock kid at the rave, to the Israeli DJ on the European club circuit, to the electronic producer with a fetish for live instruments, he tends to skirt the edge of whatever scene he's in. It's a position that suits him well––so far it's led to dozens of lush, melodic records, an ever-evolving live act and his own label, Supplemen
t Facts. This nonconformist attitude, combined with the emotional content of his art (so rare in today's electronic music), explains how Gerber keeps his audience locked in, be it on record or on stage.
Before he was fiddling with drum machines and synths, Gerber was all about groups like Joy Division and My Bloody Valentine. These influences still echo clearly in his music today, especially in his use of harmony, contemplative moods and trippy, shoegaze-inspired sounds. It's a style that's anything but conventional, yet one that quickly drew in some of Europe's most popular labels; three years after his recording debut, Gerber released the first of several records on John Digweed's Bedrock imprint. A couple of years later, Sven Väth signed him to Cocoon, eventually releasing his album Late Bloomers. All the while, he was building Supplement Facts from the ground up, showcasing his own productions alongside those by likeminded artists, and illustrating each record sleeve by hand, so each release embodied his distinct creative panache.
These days Gerber has the kind of artistic freedom he's always wanted, and it shows. Supplement Facts is more adventurous than ever, melding organic with electronic sounds. Meanwhile, he's embarked on his most unexpected project yet: an album with P Diddy, who hired him for some remixes and took him on more permanently after hearing the results. Now the hip-hop icon flies Gerber out to his studio in LA to work, where he gives him “2000% artistic freedom.” The experience has been transformative.“Something opened my mind out there,” says Gerber, noting how his approach to music has changed. For one, his rock roots are seeping back in; despite being named one of RA's top 10 acts of the year, he's scrapping his laptop for something more “live,” playing bass guitar over drum machines, and remembering the importance of lyrics. It's impossible to say where all of this is headed, but with a talent as bold and unorthodox as Gerber's, it couldn't happen any other way.

Meanwhile, Heist has Also worked on Collaborations with artists like Taxman, Majistrate, Crissy Criss and many more with new possible co lab options looming. Heavy weight beatz & bass!
