Also laut Ortofon-Website sind alle
Nadeln innerhalb ihrer eigenen Serie,
also DJs, NightClubs, Pros, etc. ohne
Probleme austauschbar.Zum Thema austauschen zwischen den Serien hab ich letzte Woche, als ich ähnlich Gedanken hatte, auf www.djboard.com folgenden Post gesehen. Hat einer von nem norwegischen Ortofonmitarbeiter erhalten:
Zitat:
"It is, as you correctly point out, fully possible to select any stylus of desire for your Broadcast series pick-up. In the Ortofon Pro series the following stylus' exists :
Pro S, DJ S, DJ E, NightClub S, NightClub E, Scratch and Broadcast E. For Club use we would recommend a spherical needle. It has a more rounded ground joint and will therefore not bury itself into the groove as an elliptic grounded needle would do. The drawback is that the highest frequencies will not be reproduced as flawless as the with the elliptic one. But again, since the spherical one tends to surface-float over the record it will therefore be more suited for back-cuing and scratching. Because of that, a DJ S or Scratch stylus may very well be used on your Broadcast pickup with excellent results. You are saying that you probably will be doing more of back-cueing than heavy scratching. Based on this fact, I would probably go for the DJ's if I were you. Both alternatives exists as stylus kits (one off Concorde incl. stylus and 2 needles)."
Bis hier nix Neues, wie oben, ab hier wirds interessant:
"But a pick-up consists of more components than the needle.
You have the cantilever arm suspension, the generator (MM coil & magnet) that convert the physical motion into equivalent electrical signal magnitudes. A very important
element in addition to the needle itself is the actual suspension. All Ortofon pick-up's in the Ortofon Pro series
are made with rough handling in mind, but Ortofon DJ's og Scratch Pick-Up's hold an even more sturdy and improved elastic suspension than the other models in this series.
The result is that these models can withstand more vibrations, noise and back-cueing/scratching activities."
