Jetlag Digital continue their progressive march with a new release from Soulfinder. Stephen Hogg, the man behind the Soulfinder project, has had releases on labels like Outside the Box, Monad and Deepology. This time we are presented with a 2 track "North and South EP." Soulfinder releases have been supported by the likes of Danny Howells, Chloe Harris and Hernan Cattaneo.
Northside is a smooth and soothing progressive number. Neat drums, atmospherics and ethnic vocals give it a chilled progressive feel. Definitely a good start to the EP.
Southside is similar to but still maintains its own identity. A neat bassline and stabs give the track a solid foundation while nice chord patterns help give the tune a sound atmosphere. Not necessarily outstanding, but well produced and solid enough.
Soulfinder's latest is well produced and both tracks are very pleasant indeed. Ideal for a radio or beach set, and with this being Ibiza season expect support from some DJs in those cooler beachside bars.
