We have a new IF? release online today - rock/trip-hop and electro/hip-hop. Yep, we've rediscovered the physical guitar and unwieldy drum-kit. Go figure.
Is this the greatest rock/trip-hop/electro compilation ever conceived?
Beyond throwing such an outrageous superlative sentence-construct (above) at you, IF? Records is content to let these songs speak for themselves, in their collective attempt to sway you toward a similar sentiment.
After focusing on electronic music for 14 years, here IF? went out on a limb and brought together a group of exceptionally talented musicians and bands from Japan, the UK, France, Romania, Australia and Belgium, and set out to integrate the disparate elements of rock, hip-hop, trip-hop, electro-folk, ambience and however else you’d care to decipher these sounds, in a superb present for the feint of heart this Valentine’s Day.
All new tracks, except (4) previously released on the Disco_r.dance compilation in 2006 (published by Domino), and (6) released on the Zeitgeist compilation in 1997.
