Subject: fukk god lets create #013#013 // October 7th 2002 01. Out now on Fukk God: FUKK GOD 013 J. Lindgren - Flyktig likt röken från förtvivlans fladdrande flamma. MP3+PDF It's not uncommon among those in the know to refer to the work of J. Lindgren as genious, even though for some reason his work is still fairly unknown, something we here at Fukk God try our damndest to change. Therefor we are happy to announce the follow-up to "The Tender Boughs of Innocense Burn First" (and part two in the Fire trilogy) that we unleashed to critical acclaim earlier this year. This new ep, entitled "Flyktig Likt Röken från Förtvivlans Fladdrande Flamma", features 20 minutes of Jonas' trademark textured drones fuled with some faint melodies and delicate field recordings, joined together into a stunning, melancoly and at times nostalgic soundtrack of grey october skies. Also this means that Prelude to Nothing EP by Winquist Virtanen is going offline. 2. If you got money to spend don't hesitate to check out our new mailorder section. It's still quite small but it's growing steadily with new stuff.
3. We are no longer accepting any orders for the WNQST//LNDGRN MD. You snooze, you lose. The total number of copies that will ever be made is 14. Copies will be mailed out to those whom have ordered it during this week.
4. The Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words site have recieved a much needed facelift. Check it out at www.deadwords.org http://www.fukkgod.org

NEUROTRON - THE LIGHT OF OTHER DAYS (THN019) Release date: 21.09.2002 ----------------------------------------------------------------------Strongly enhanced in composing and harmonies the completly-hardware based duo Neurotron from Northern Germany delivers four delightful deephouse tracks. Encased by romantic harmonica leads and subtle minimal detroit warmness a la Terrence Parker, "Inside Radiometer" is a deepblue mover with strong 909 patterns and a frosty reverbed pad. The faded harmonica leads make this track infinately floating. "Texture Of You" fades in distance and keeps the reduced vibes through the song. Minorly modulated sound modelling and the delayed stringdots aswell as the closed hihats later on keep this track moody detroity. "Der Tonimpulszyklus" is a track purely dedicated to the floor. Overwhelming strings and a bouncing house beat keep this track pushing straightly - monotone like Theorem but effective. "Dwell", similar to "Texture Of You", has very detroity elements in it, but in its overall structure reminds me more of Steve Bug or efforts by RaumMusik. In support to Moritz von Oswald: Round Four! Big props to Benfay for the mastering of this release in Summer 2002. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 4 tracks :: 30min 34sec :: 44.03 MB A1: Neurotron Inside Radiometer 08:31 (12.27 MB) A2: Neurotron Texture Of You 07:47 (11.21 MB) B1: Neurotron Der Tonimpulszyklus 06:59 (10.06 MB) B2: Neurotron Dwell 07:17 (10.49 MB ********************************************************************** V/A - CONSTRUCTIONS FOR ANDREY KIRICHENKO 12 tracks :: 54min 5sec :: 78.05 MB ---------------------------------------------------------------------- As the title already says, this release contains 12 pieces of constructions from Andrey Kirichenko samplematerial and is dedicated to Andreys highly acclaimed "00.00" album. Artists from the direct Autoplate roster, like UndaCova, EtcEtc, 833-45, Rngmnn or Stefan Koopmanschap aswell as familiar names and new talents like Object (Kevin Bolster), Xenoton from the Tonatom.net Netlabel, Kotra from Nexsound, Anton Dimitrov from Urban Magazine/Acid Fake Labelowner, Violet/Zeromoon.com and last but not least rewarded painter/multi-musician Heath Yonaites/Triumvirate honoured Andreys efforts and contributed with their very own interpretation of the basis samples. Objects "Nocturne" is a fine oscillating sine-circuit and its pleasently to get entertained by this digital mash. Stefan Koopmanschap edited a loop and added minor fx bitcrushing. Rngmnn who is best settled to dark industrial ambient environments transformed the theme of AKs album to his point of view - distant bleeps and syntax errors. UndaCovas careful use of the material and shy idm-beginnings keep the lost-into-music feeling past midnights: a very strong developing interpretation of "Polnoch". After his Sketch-Album on Arghprkl, EtcEtcs returns with his original fun-idmgabbanoise and delivers a short, mad, shy and sunny (!) cutoffmonster. Xenoton, who might still sound unfamiliar to most listeners, is a german composer who released a well-rated cd on his own label "TonAtom". His construction for AK reveals Xenotons synth/ebm roots. The warmest construction comes from Vancouver Radio-signal scientist 833-45 who surprisingly put the attention of his work on the moody stringleads. Sounds melancholic for me - a familiar feeling for all nerds out there who are awake during midnight. EtcEtcs 2nd construction is a serious dark and windy ambientnoise arrangement. Kotra, who is related to the direct surrounding field of AK and, same as him, a protagonist of the Ukrainian dsp-scene, composed a piece which focuses on hertz-frequencies and a fragile sonic-spectrum, i guess influences by Alva Noto can be heard here - a very good construction i think! Macedonian scene activist and Thinner/Autoplate supporter since the first minute Anton Dimitrov focused on a plicky needle plop sample of AK and explores a thick click n'jam. Violets short construction is economic in sample usage and evolves a heavy cloud which doesnt erupt finally (luckily?) but seperates into new a developing surface, though yet smaller. The multi-instrumentalist Heath Yonaites builded a song with his unique wall-of-soundart composing. Dont forget - Autoplate is a label dedicated to listening with headphones, so you should do here either if you do not want to miss very much of this album - Get into it! 01 Object Nocturne 06:02 (8.71 MB) 02 Stefan Koopmanschap Khaos in Ukraine 03:22 (4.85 MB) 03 Rngmnn Midnatt (00.00) 06:52 (9.90 MB) 04 UndaCova Polnoch Remix 04:42 (6.78 MB) 05 EtcEtc Rassvet Mix 01:28 (2.13 MB) 06 Xenoton 05-00 04:31 (6.52 MB) 07 833-45 Mayonaka 04:46 (6.90 MB) 08 EtcEtc 0 05:52 (8.45 MB) 09 Kotra 00:01 03:55 (5.64 MB) 10 Anton Dimitrov Sound 00 - Sound 01 03:06 (4.46 MB) 11 Violet -0! 02:44 (3.95 MB) 12 Heath Yonaites Midnight Crossing 06:46 (9.76 MB) ********************************************************************** POP.X @ NBI.Schönhauser Allee 157.Berlin 19.10.02.22:00 Uhr.Eintritt: € 3,- Anmeldungen für Interviews.Gästeliste. The strange and elusive figure has only produced four tracks to our knowledge, and we have compiled them for release on the maintenance EP. From the very beginning of the headphone-friendly circuit override, you will be assaulted by bizarre sound design, sparse, minimal environments and relentless drums; the experience only gets harder and more chaotic as you progress through the rest of the release. Each track on maintenance is completely original from the other, yet the entire EP maintains a high level of energy and danceability. We highly recommend this exclusive download, as figure music is as hard to come by as the robot himself (itself?) http://www.heavy-industries.com

FALTER - TAUMELFLUG EP THN021 Crystal Dub Pearls Release date: 17.11.2002 ********************************************************************* Strong delayed, but now finally out is the "Taumelflug EP" by Falter from Dortmund, Germany. In fact, his relationship to Thinner is based on his contact to Digitalverein. Before Falter now starts to work officially as our booker, he's kind enough to let us release a superb floating dub 3-tracker, to let us see one of the most beautiful insects from a different point of view. "Taumelflug 1" is a dramatic heavy bassline dubber in best Traum context, which contantly keeps floating ahead the ground of mother nature. "Zum Nektar Und Zurück" symbolizes the daily duty needs of a butterfly - to fly and get the nectar out of the flower - and to return home. Light melodies plus yellow chords , calm and infinitely delayed beats and a syncopic bassline reconstruct the dangerous flight of a falter, always so close of getting caught and eaten by a bigger bird. "Taumelflug 2" is a dark and profound process of the metamorphosis from a green caterpillar to a yellow butterfly in the later part of the song, once the familiar light pads fade in. Enjoy! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 tracks :: 25min 9sec :: 36.229 MB A1: Falter Taumelflug 1 06:59 (10.06 MB) A2: Falter Zum Nektar Und Zurück 07:13 (10.40 MB) B1: Falter Taumelflug 2 10:57 (15.78 MB) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Taavi Tulev - Televiisor On Tuksis 13 tracks :: 58min 10sec :: 83.76 MB **********************************************************************
One of todays most important composers of classical music is Toivo Tulev, the father of Taavi. For Autoplate, Taavi cuts, smashes, mingles, constructs and keeps defining the new school of electronica folklore from Estonia. 13 neo-dsp songs which are mad and randomly structured, but in the end agree on one point: beautieful. Taavi keeps playing various instruments of undefined origin and, if you listen carefully, unfolds multiinstrumentality i rarely took notice of yet. "Karje" pierces your ears with an enraged spoon on the heating and loud distorted pads which top on jamming a dramatic melody together. "Freako" is a metallic jam of used and unusal sounds. "Amuu" sounds like a defacement of a traditional estonian good-night song with illogcial harmonies. "Kaega" has melancholic- melody painting skills equal to some Lackluster songs of the "Container" album, but with more youthful energy behind and not too reduced. "Mleellikulal" grain manipulates hipassed guitarlick cycles and plugs/unplugs popping wires. One of my favourite cuts, "Kivi" jams on a heavy fx-ed piano with all the dadaistic, impudently, sounds Taavi loves to cutnpaste. "Minuni" evolves C-64 resonanced strings and pads and lfo-s, cutoffs and delays them to a nice potpourri of retroanalogica. On "R-Pauer" Taavi throws again bittersweet and tender melancholica around himself like lightnings which break your heart into thousand parts. "Berta" is hectic and tries to escape from the unknown. In all between those songs, we have a break with Dr. Jekyll, the liquid fountain of youth, "Televiisor On Tuksis" which keeps sparkling like glowworms. So nice! And a really impressive example of Taavis solid classical background of composing. Beware of Mr. Hyde in "Trainas"! "Taschkje" is a warm bath of electronica, before he leaves us with yet another estonian christmas interpretation, called "Alap" here. Very recommended - see Taavi on Germany tour in December, definately one of the most bizarre Gigs you'll have heared so far then, yet. "Music which permanently takes up degree migration between insanity and pure genious. Toy command meets relativity theory, Comicfigures on Acid and the entire staff of "One flew more over the Cuckoos nest" on free course" (Claus Wittwer, OX Fanzine 12/02) 01 Taavi Tulev Karje 04:34 (6.58 MB) 02 Taavi Tulev Freako 07:12 (10.30 MB) 03 Taavi Tulev Amuu 04:45 (6.84 MB) 04 Taavi Tulev Kaega 04:56 (7.11 MB) 05 Taavi Tulev Mleelikulal 04:38 (6.68 MB) 06 Taavi Tulev Kivi 02:25 (3.48 MB) 07 Taavi Tulev Minuni 03:44 (5.37 MB) 08 Taavi Tulev R-Pauer 04:14 (6.09 MB) 09 Taavi Tulev Berta 04:05 (5.89 MB) 10 Taavi Tulev Televiisor On Tuksis 04:48 (6.92 MB) 11 Taavi Tulev Trainas 02:32 (3.66 MB) 12 Taavi Tulev Taschkje 07:59 (11.50 MB) 13 Taavi Tulev Alap 02:19 (3.34 MB) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- THINNER_LIVE

DIGITALIS - SIN:ERGY EP THN022 - Dusty Particles of Dubfunk - Release date: 03.12.2002 ********************************************************************* Already having released on the recommended netlabel 2063music, the Duo Digitalis from Bern, Switzerland contribute a smoooth 4 tracker to Thinner. Each Track evolves huge fx landscapes with minimal beats and reduced expressions. Theres much to explore in this music, so headphones are definately recommended. This EP is calm and a perfect electronica blend with aspects of dub and ambience, made perfect for home listening. "Schwellen" is a heavy subbass mover with pearling Glitterstrings, makes you see swimming in a aquarium through cloudily water. A Plastikman alike subbass with cold, distant effects and reservedly percussion make this track a cold nautic sensual enjoyment. "Port.Able" unfolds decent dark and metally soundscapes until a downbeat fades in with lovely playing dubby echochords and delays. Mysterious voices appear and disappear. "Formicula" comes up with sparkling affected chords, a 4/4 bassdrum with closed hihats. The syncopic bassline and shuffling hihats grasshop around, the scapes sound like ionisated gas outer space. On "Landing" we have aliens visiting, this song builds up slowly with a Kleine alike Bassline and sparse closed hihats, later a tough basskick merges to transform this song into a mover until it ends up in a spooky spacey voice ambient melange. A nice interview with Digitalis can be read on 2063music (http://www.2063music.de/interviews/digitalis.htm). 4 tracks :: 31min 7sec :: 43.778 MB A1: Digitalis - Schwellen 08:07 (11.27 MB) A2: Digitalis - Port.Able 08:11 (10.08 MB) B1: Digitalis - Formicula 07:00 (11.78 MB) B2: Digitalis - Landing 07:49 (11.68 MB) [ 06-12-2002: Beitrag editiert von: preston lacy ] [ 06-12-2002: Beitrag editiert von: preston lacy ]
