unter anderem haben SSL, SWR, BFBS und livestream (versetzt) übertragen :-) Ich habe mir von allen das herausgezogen was ich gut empfand - viele Sets waren es aber nicht. Habe vom freitag und Samstag jeweils einen auf meiner soundcloud page zum limitierten download bereitgestellt

Gestern war soviel gutes zum aufnehmen, das die Nature direkt untergegangen ist LOL Jetzt werde ich mir erstemal die rush hour label night anhören

auf was bezogen ? Ich kann natürlich keine Session länger machen als wie sie ist. Eigentlich hat sich mein Musikgeschmack nicht groß verändert. Bei jedem Download kannst du meine objektive Meinung zum Set ersehen ... klar würde ich liebend gerne alles hochstellen was ich habe, aber das Forum soll auch weiterhin bestehen bleiben und Ärger vermieden geschweige denn umgehen werden :-) denn zu guter letzt profitiere ich von seriosität um sets mitschneiden zu können ohne das unfug getrieben wird

Danke für Dein Verständnis. Über Wünsche, Anregungen oder Verbesserungsvorschläge etc. stehe ich jedem gerne per PM zuseite !

Aber bitte keine PMs ala will neues Richie Hawtin, Villalobos oder Loco Dice whatever sets. Ich weiß, das ihr das wollt, wenn sich Möglichkeiten ergeben und die Beteiligten nichts dagegen haben, stehe ich auch keinem im Wege, auch wenn sich mein Hauptaugenmerk nicht auf solche Art von Musik bezieht - jedenfalls ist meine eigene HDD verschont mit sowas

wobei mir kurze knappe Sets so buis 45 minuten eh am besten gefallen, als wie 2,5 stunden am stück :-) irgendwie für mich durch viele kurz-längere Autofahrten am besten und abwechslungsreichsten, aber man kann es sich nicht aussuchen und muß es so nehmen wie es kommt. So und zum Abschluß des Sonntages ziehe ich mir jetzt Dr. Lektroluv von der Mixed Stage @ Extrema Outdoor rein ^^ da kommen wieder Errinerungen an den guten Justice Electro hoch yeah

Christian Smith hat mir eigentlich noch nie als DJ so richtig gefallen, seine Produktionen/Remixe sind da schon auf ner ganz anderen Liga. Ich fand diesen kurzen Ausschnitt um welten besser, als volle 90 Minuten Sets von ihm himself

Martyn goes deep dutch on Radio 1's Essential Mix. Martijn Deykers, aka Martyn, is a producer/DJ based in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. He started out playing Drum & Bass in the mid-nighties, before settling on a mix of dubstep and techno on his brilliant debut album 'Great Lengths'.
He released his second album, 'Ghost People', on Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder label in late 2011. He also runs the 3024 label, named after his post code in Holland, putting out music by the likes of Mosca and Julio Bashmore.

kleines review der recordings von juni + juli
(bis einschließlich jetzt)

12,4 GB = 229 Sets = 193:05:28 Stunden


spaß, ich hab mir abgewöhnt überall sets zu posten, ich mache mein Ding genauso weiter wie vorher, nur ohne promotion (oder teils ohne) wer sucht der findet, qualität wird niemals untergehen !
Ein Grund für meine Zurückhaltung sind gewisse Seiten, die ua. meine recording zur Geldwäsche nutzen, sie ohne gnade auf 320kbit reencoden und als ihres eigenes ausgeben ... nee nee sowas muß ich mir nicht geben. Somit lade ich sporadisch nur noch standard aufnahmen hoch (ua. radio recordings + auserwählte club recordings)

Vielleicht ändert sich wieder mal was, aber habs auch die letzten 3 Monate mit der Zurückhaltung ausgehalten, sollen die Leute doch weiterhin die billig kopierseiten besuchen und sich verarschen lassen

2012-08-04 - The Prototypes (Shogun Audio) @ Annie Nightingale Show, BBC Radio 1
After an astonishing rise to fame DJ and production duo The Prototypes have rapidly become one of the most recognized names among the 'new breed' in drum and bass. Now they`re exclusively signed to Friction`s Shogun Audio family
Their infectious track 'Cascade' has brought them massive Radio 1 support from the likes of Zane Lowe, Annie Nightingale, Annie Mac, Fabio & Grooverider and had also earned them a highly acclaimed mini-mix as part of Jaguar Skills' Jag Fest'. All this plus forthcoming remixes on Ninja Tune & Sony BMG, the boys are demonstrating serious versatility.

Browsing the vinyl racks at your favorite record store and coming across the name Shlohmo might be a bit of a mystery. A name like that could mean either traditional klezmer music or alcohol-soaked fraternity band. Luckily (with all due respect to klezmer masters), Shlohmo is a different beast entirely. Beat maestro Henry Laufer has been concocting a potent mix of dirty south, avant beats, slow jam soul, and hip hop for some time on LA based Friends of Friends aka FoF Music. After releasing his first EP in 2009, Shlohmo started making waves with the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs and Daddy Kev from Low End Theory. Since then, Henry has kept busy with more releases including two full length albums and several EPs and 12"es, all released to much critical acclaim. Mal eine Zwischenfrage, die gut hier reinpasst:
Mittlerweile ist mir das Herunterladen fast zu aufwendig und dauert auch zu lange. Finde fast immer was bei itunes als Podcast, was ich dann per Antippen runterlade und so auch direkt überall mit Kopfhörer oder Bluetooth Audio hören kann.
Geht es vielen anderen auch so, oder stehe ich ziemlich alleine da, weil das Angebot an Livesets doch begrenzt ist? Kennt vielleicht jemand noch suchenswerte Podcasts, die auch Livesets verschiedenster Genres anbieten?

ich interessiere mich eigentlich auch nicht mehr für Livesets und lade eigentlich nur noch was runter wenn es von der eigenen Party war, es empfohlen wurde oder von einen der Blogs dich ich so nebenbei verfolge kommt.

Das ganze Captcha und Speedbegrenzungsgedöns nervt dabei sowieso. Also saug ich dann auch nur wenn es vom eigenen derver kommt oder auf Soundcloud liegt.

And then there’s the select few who, having gone through an epiphany like this, go on to create moments like these. Ata is one of the latter. Upon returning to Ffm from a life-altering club night in Barcelona, Ata decided he wanted to be a DJ, and has since come a long way – from his early days at Delirium record store, unforgettable nights at the Omen or his seminal Wild Pitch Club. Since then he has co-founded the (very nearly holy) trinity of the Playhouse, Klang and Ongaku labels. Amongst all this it would be easy to forget that he is still a DJ at the prime of his powers if it weren’t for his marathon sets that still have the power to turn lives around. The one and only Ata. Robert Johnson’s mac daddy and German DJ icon dropping the goods at his club’s 13 year anniversary bash.

Since he released his first disc in 2003 on Traum Schallplatten, the superior producer disperses ecological expertise and the sound of chirping birds in his tracks. He uses nature as a contentual and dramaturgical source of inspiration for his productions since 1993. In 2007 Dominik was awarded the "Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik" for his second album "Heimische Gefilde", with which he achieved a lot for the generation-spanning acceptation of techno. He was even voted for Newcomer and Producer of the year. After all one wants to take his audience on a journey, not wanting to ditch it at the ticket counter.

Guy Gerber has always been comfortable as an outlier. From being the rock kid at the rave, to the Israeli DJ on the European club circuit, to the electronic producer with a fetish for live instruments, he tends to skirt the edge of whatever scene he's in. It's a position that suits him well––so far it's led to dozens of lush, melodic records, an ever-evolving live act and his own label, Supplemen
t Facts. This nonconformist attitude, combined with the emotional content of his art (so rare in today's electronic music), explains how Gerber keeps his audience locked in, be it on record or on stage.

Before he was fiddling with drum machines and synths, Gerber was all about groups like Joy Division and My Bloody Valentine. These influences still echo clearly in his music today, especially in his use of harmony, contemplative moods and trippy, shoegaze-inspired sounds. It's a style that's anything but conventional, yet one that quickly drew in some of Europe's most popular labels; three years after his recording debut, Gerber released the first of several records on John Digweed's Bedrock imprint. A couple of years later, Sven Väth signed him to Cocoon, eventually releasing his album Late Bloomers. All the while, he was building Supplement Facts from the ground up, showcasing his own productions alongside those by likeminded artists, and illustrating each record sleeve by hand, so each release embodied his distinct creative panache.

These days Gerber has the kind of artistic freedom he's always wanted, and it shows. Supplement Facts is more adventurous than ever, melding organic with electronic sounds. Meanwhile, he's embarked on his most unexpected project yet: an album with P Diddy, who hired him for some remixes and took him on more permanently after hearing the results. Now the hip-hop icon flies Gerber out to his studio in LA to work, where he gives him “2000% artistic freedom.” The experience has been transformative.“Something opened my mind out there,” says Gerber, noting how his approach to music has changed. For one, his rock roots are seeping back in; despite being named one of RA's top 10 acts of the year, he's scrapping his laptop for something more “live,” playing bass guitar over drum machines, and remembering the importance of lyrics. It's impossible to say where all of this is headed, but with a talent as bold and unorthodox as Gerber's, it couldn't happen any other way.

It would be an understatement to call Britain’s Alexander Coe a DJ pioneer. As Sasha, he had led dance music since the late '80s and has built a legacy that few, if any, DJs will ever match.

Sasha’s debut longplayer is also considered by some to be one of electronic music’s most underrated works of genius. The 11-track opus played like a mystical voyage through the dark and beautiful side of dance music. As it moved quite brilliantly between poignant breakbeat, moving melodies, and deep four-to-the-floor grooves, it captured both his immense studio talents, and his ability to segue multiple genres, electronic rhythms and sounds into one epic piece of music.

Sasha will soon become a curator of quality dance music too. After a brief record label experiment (EmFire), Sasha will launch his own imprint this year called Last Night On Earth. The label will be Sasha’s home for supporting exciting new electronic music talent and his new solo productions. And surely, Sasha being Sasha, the label will be a resounding success.

How to explain his Midas touch though? Well Sasha answered that 20 years ago, in that first Mixmag article: “Seeing my face in a magazine is great, but the DJing is what it is all about”.

The annual event on the Crimean Black Sea in the Ukraine will take place from July 31st to August 18th this year. 2012 marks its 20th anniversary. The event styles itself as a "republic" rather than a festival proper. The press release describes it as "a stable democracy with its own constitution that guarantees rights and freedoms to every citizen," with its attendees as "republicans." Festivities begin on the 31st, where republicans can organize and celebrate on the festival site for five days before the opening party (or "Apotheosis") on August 4. The tickets are styled as "republican visas," good for entry for the entire duration of the event. The site will feature six dance floors, 30 bars and restaurants, "various weird architectural structures," two open air cinemas, and even three "kitesurfing stations."

The Gaslamp Killer is a Los Angeles-based DJ whose eclectic style ranges from psychedelia and world music to dubstep and left-field hip-hop. Associated with Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder Records, he made his production debut in the late 2000s with a series of EPs. Born William Benjamin Bensussen, he originally comes from San Diego, California, whose downtown Gaslamp District's bar scene inspired him to name himself The Gaslamp Killer in disgust for much of the patronage. Upon relocating to Los Angeles, he found a niche for himself amid the city's massive underground party scene and ultimately found a home for himself as a resident DJ at the club Low End Theory, which resulted in a series of club-sponsored podcasts. He released his first album, Breakthrough, on Brainfeeder in September 2012.

Distance hails from the South London dubstep nucleus and is an originator of the dubstep sound. He has been involved in its development since its early years and has produced tracks with the likes of Skream, Benga, Pinch and Cyrus.
With a background of heavy metal and experimental industrial music, his approach to dubstep is truly different to any others. Whilst many producers reference influences such as King Tubby to Lee Scratch Perry, Distance main influence hails from the likes of Sepultura, Pantera and Fear Factory. Distance as producer, DJ and label owner (Chestplate Records), has been pushing things in a direction all of his own. Gathering early support from the legendary John Peel and going on to be part of the utterly seminal Dubstep Warz show on Radio 1 presented by Mary Anne Hobbs, Distance has forged a name for himself as a critical figure in the scene. Distance is a regular at the seminal raves such as FWD, DMZ, Exodus, SUB: DUB and more. His Dj bookings have taken him across the globe where he devastates dance floors and sound systems in his own unimitable style. Distance's recorded output is also formidable, finding homes on labels as underground and seminal as Hotflush, Tectonic and Boka in his early career, to ending up on the world reputed Planet Mu, on which Distance released his debut album in 2007. Distance's studio has spawned multiple stone cold killers over a range of styles but all uniquely Distance, highlighting why his new releases are some of the most highly anticipated in the scene.
If you’re a fan of heavy metal, industrial rock, dub, reggae and techno….then this is the sound for you. Though hard to relate these binary opposite genres together, somehow...Distance does just that.

Hailing from Sussex, James’ forays into music production began back in 2006. Iin 2010 he was introduced to the world of 170bpm dance music. Since then he hasn’t looked back, immersing himself in the so und and hitting as many nights as possible in Brighton and London.

Setting sights on making his mark as a hotly tipped young talent in the ever expanding drum and bass scene, he was brought to the attention of Viper Recordings boss Futurebound who signed his first 2 tracks Stellar and Breach released in March 2012.

Andy C has since picked up James' track Iodine which is forthcoming on Ram. June sees him playing at Fabric which will be followed shortly by his next release, Sleep It Off released as part of Viper's Summer Slammers Compilation

danke, evil, für die ganzen sachen weiterhin..
so richtig als ganzes kann kaum mehr ein set überzeugen heute, zumindest was den hausgebrauch angeht. weder bei breaks noch bei 4-to-the-floor. Sasha und Zabiela sind auch recht unauffällig geworden. aber gibt schon immer mal gute tracks zu entdecken.
der Essential Mix von Dusky läuft auch ganz gut rein an einem samstag nachmittag, aufpoliertes retro.

muß ich dir wiedersprechen ;-) es gibt genügend Mixe, die von vorne bis hinten 1a sind - wie du ja bereits feststellen mußtest, poste ich vieles einfach auch nicht mehr. Hab mich darauf beschränkt nur noch Radio Recordings hochzuladen, vieles wird auch online archiviert - 60% wird weiterhin nicht das tageslicht erklimmen ....

P.S. Bei Sasha / Zabiela geb ich Dir zum Teil recht, ist aber auch nicht die Musik die ich täglich höre. eher so ab und zu mal. Mittlerweile höre ich zu 80% dnb, dubstep, experimental headz, neotrance border community zeug rest 20% house, techno, electro, prog. house. Glaube früher war des ein wenig anderser aufgeteilt, da ich mich dem dnb eher umgedreht hatte. So ändern sich zeiten, dort gibt es so viele individuell gute Musik, die andere Styles garnicht bieten können (Gegenwart) Was die zukunft bringt wird sich zeigen, bleibe jedenfalls meinem Standpunkt treu: auf keine Züge aufzuspringen nur weils alle toll finden - mach mein eigenes ding weiter ... kannst mich ja jederzeit per PM im soundcloud anhauen, wenn du was brauchst - dann lade ich dir individuelle private schätze hoch ^^

er spielt auch tracks von anderen, so ist es nicht, ich wollte mit meiner Aussage nur sagen, das es von ihm andere verfügbare Sets gibt, die NEU und unverbraucht klingen! Ich weiß jetzt natürlich nicht, in wie weit Du Dich mit ihm auseinandersetzt für die einen mag das schon frisch klingen, für die, die alles von ihm haben, eher weniger - leider! Er gibt auch nur ganz selten PARTY SETS frei, weil er da viel experimentiert und unveröffentliche Sachen spielt. letztes jahr zum beispiel wurde sein 10 Days off Set um satte 86 minuten gekürzt! Der erste teil war ähnlich Deinem geposteten, der zweite geschnitte Teil beinhaltet tracks, die jetzt noch nicht mal draußen sind ua. auch ein koop mit extrawelt !

er legt grundsätzlich mit ableton live auf, wenn er live spielt, dann spielt er gerne an den effekten herum, ansonsten unterscheidet es sich in nichts Ich weiß schon, wenn ich links poste was genau dahintersteckt ! Aber wir wollen jetzt keine sinnlose wer hat Recht Diskussion führen. Mach Dir noch nen schönen Sonntag, ich gehe jetzt erstemal raus und werde abends dann die ganzen Samstag recordings bearbeiten und hier und da hochladen !

P.S. Wenn nicht live dahintersteht, spielt er auch sachen von anderen künstlern im gleichen programm

Born and raised in the Black Forest area of southwestern Germany, Michael Mayer had his first encounter with music via his mother’s kitchen radio from day one. The obligatory classic musical education (piano, clarinet, saxophone, school choir et al) was followed by the dream to become a DJ, and the purchase of his first mixer and a turntable (age: 14). A long-lasting odyssey later, Mayer arrived in Cologne, got involved with Delirium Records (soon to be the Kompakt store), teamed up with Tobias Thomas as Friends Xperiment, started playing at parties in Colgone and Berlin.

Whether it is as Rune RK, Kölsch, ENUR or one half of Artificial Funk, Rune Reilly Kölsch likes to keep busy both as a DJ and as a producer. Artificial Funk signed to Skint in 2002, yet it was as Rune RK that he produced his first big hit – 2003’s Calabria. Its saxophone riff swiftly made an impression on dance floors – and refused to leave them in the years to come. During the time that Calabria was tirelessly making the rounds, Kölsch started the willfully obscure label Tattoorecs with Johannes Torpe, his brother and partner in Artificial Funk, to explore the Detroit / Chicago legacy under the Ink & Needle moniker. And while he likes to feature guest stars from Kelly Rowland to Nicki Minaj (he started out as a Danish b-boy, after all), he also signed to Kompakt as Kölsch, where he has found a home for his most fundamental club tracks.

Kompakt’s great Dane takes no prisoners with one of his ethereal live sets at Melkweg in Amsterdam.

These duties have see contantly traversing the UK and Europe hosting large events including many of the big Festivals this summer. This week Russian producer de jour, Enei, drops his debut album on the ever present and ever growing powerhouse of drum and bass that is Critical Music. Entitled Machines, it has been tipped as one of the most highly anticipated albums of the year by numerous scene folk. A bold statement when you consider sheer number of artist albums that have dropped at around the same time and space as this. Calyx and Teebee, SPY, BSE and even going back a bit to DRS and Spectrasoul earlier in the year, it's a realm of stiff competition to say the least. But since winning best newcomer at last year's drum and bass awards, there has been something of a buzz about anything to come from Alexey Egorchenkov. If nothing more, it raises the level of expectation for what must be a pretty nerve wracking time, your first album. Can he deliver?

Well it depends on what you're expecting really. Enei clearly has a penchant for tunes with widespread dance floor appeal and if you're expecting a lot more of that which we have already become familiar with in his productions, then you will unlikely be disappointed. I approached this album with the mentality of it just kind of giving me the opportunity to hear more of Enei's output. I wasn't expecting it to be a rich tapestry of all of drum and bass' styles and sub genres and I suspect that it is no coincidence either. It has derived from my past experience of his music. There is a good deal of kick snare dance floor bangers making up the 11 tracks on the LP and even more when you take the digital bonus tunes into account. The lead track 'Machines' sets the precedent with its round, bouncy, but yet overarching dark aesthetic and the likes of '2012', 'The Moment' and 'Thin Line' all follow suit. Despite this stylistic trait making up the bread and butter of this album, there is some diversity to be found in the vocals and breaks driven edits of 'Saligia' feat Kemo and 'Runnin' feat Georgia Yates. Unsurprisingly, in the early stages of acquainting oneself with an album it's the most extrovert tunes that make the biggest impression on Machines. 'Centrifuge' with razored half step break down and sonically perfected fx really makes it mark on the listener as does the exemplary June Miller remix of previous Critical outing 'Movin Fast'. These tunes are probably the highlights for me and again it's mainly a product of my expectations but aside from those, I genuinely believe that this is where Enei's strengths lie. Whether that's a sustainable creative model is probably subject to some debate.
