"RAVE CLUB" Cologne opened up its doors in the basement of the property Hohenzollernring 89 [facing former MOROCO] in May of 1988 and managed to immediately gain an enthusiastic attention as a fresh and vibrant club institution in the Dome metro area – at chronological eye level with FRONT and OPERA HOUSE/GRÜNSPAN in Hamburg, the LOGO Club in Bochum, Munich´s BABABLU and even before Berlin´s UFO club or Frankfurt´s OMEN – not only in Western Germany, but also directly on a European scale, for example through great features like FACE and I-D, through its clearly defined and high-quality sound program strictly separated by events and last but not least through its artist gigs [e.g. Adeva, Marshall Jefferson, Kym Mazelle, Todd Terry, EPMD…] and the resident jocks like Claus Bachor & Roland Casper.
