yo. it's me the electro sucker again.
I'd like to know what kind of gear you use to perform live and how it is working out for you.
continuous mix of your own tracks?
do you have to switch the sounds and kits manually or can it be done autmatically in some ways.I'm mainly interested in the electro, IDM, techno live PAs.

hello, first of all, we would like to see postings in geman language. :-)
i spent a lot of time (about 1 year) to find "MY" personnel live setup which is the best one for my own purposes.
i am playing techno live using the following equipment:
- yamaha su700 for loops
- mam sq16 hardware step sequencer
- jomox airbase for the drums and percussions
- digitech S100 for FXs
- behringer ultrafex for deep basses
- behringer mx2642 as mixer
if wanna get a little impression how this equipment works, you can find one of my live sets ni "mytracks". it's called "Nico Grubert - Live 21.04.2001" :-)
cheers,
nico

By far the most of the synths can be triggered to switch sounds/presets/kits via MIDI "program change". But many machines need, say, 0.1 to 1 second to switch, so you have to send the "program changes" not to all machines at a time but in the right moment to the individual machines when they´re not sounding anyway, so you don´t get any acoustic holes in the mix.
