"Innovations to be sought elsewhere...", I was rather disappointed (but eventually bought the record anyway ;) from the new LS. I respect Luke as a decent producer and must say that this record really lacks any "special edges" that puts it out of the masses (Like other stuff from him used to do...)6 out of 10

Some tracks just needed to be heared just more than once.
I played it loud last weekend and than it realy rules.. jsut wait till you hear it in a club, specialy the electro styled track in a club with a good soundsystem ;)Marcel

Yeah, sure, I´ll definetly play it, too. But somebody like Mr. Slater shouldn´t need to be heard loud in order to make his track kick. Remember stuff like "The opening", "Twilight", "Booster", "Moave violin", "Bande magnetique", "Expectation 1 - 3", "In from the day/night", "Love", the marvellous Rmxs of "Body freefall, electronic inform", "All exhale"´s cheesy yet funky vocoder line etc...? THIS was real cool stuff, not all of it very inventive or innovative either, but some of it definetly two steps ahead in the early ninetees. So I´m disappointed if somebody like Luke makes it so easy for himself like with the "Coad warriors"
