In the 90’s Mike Wall made his first experiences with electronic music. In these years, he started mixing tapes and playing his first gigs in the East Germany. But he released under the name Mike Wall for the first time on the record label Modulat in 2005, and since then things started looking up for him. In the same year, he played at the legendary Melt Festival! and refurnished his studio. These changes brought a fresh wind in his EP’s like “Loose Changes” or “She Comes” and let his productions seem much more smooth and warm. He is known over the border of Germany for the variety in his sets, because even listeners in Italy, Spain, Greece, Austria and Switzerland, USA, Russia and more.... were very enthusiastic about his dynamic sounds.
In 2006, his début vinyl was released on the London minimal label named "Safari Electronique", which is home to very talented producers such as Italoboyz, Delete and Arnaud le Textier, Cesare vs. Disorder, Christian Burkhardt, just to name a few.
Since then, a lot happened and he released on labels like smallroom music, Hidden Recordings, Sleaze and his own label Wall Music. With the foundation of Wall Music/Wall Music Limited, he took a further step into independence and he began to push unknown artists and labels with the credo of having the best fun out of it.

DESCRIPTION:
Hidden Recordings introduces its largest and most ambitious project to date – the debut full length artist album of Mike Wall. Mike’s history with the label and his rapidly expanding profile has led to this joyous moment.
The break-through German talent seamlessly sows nine originals full of overarching musical motifs: mood, balance, and character – there is a sense of depth and sophistication that underlies Mike’s unique sound of grime and toughness.
TRACK DESCRIPTIONS:
Different Colours
The album is a perfect synthesis of rhythm and melody overall. Mike Wall sets the standard for it on the album's opener with a skilled merging of dark drums and subtle touches of the musical.
All I Ever Wanted
The signature theme of driving drums continues with spacious sounding percussion and and industrial sounds give the track a Detroit meets Berlin primeval vibe.
Ribbon
Polyrhythmic intensity courtesy of ever-changing basslines keep a constant and forward pushing groove. Strong percussion drops along with winding sythn lines give the sense of total bedlam.
Up
Deep and wobbly basslines and along with heavy kick drums lead this moody groover full of subtle percussion changes to jump start your journey into Mike’s filthy mind-set and distinctive sound for the album.
Suicide
An old school feel with chiming melodic sequences that could send someone to flashback to the early days of raving. Chaos with a sense of hopelessness like someone aching to be freed.
Choose Life
Quirky and spooky synth snippets lead this ‘Alfred Hichcock’ thriller of a track complete with with smooth build-ups and clever shifts in percussion, with his signature grungey drums.
Ketamine
Lovely wickedness with sounds of modulated vocal snippets, hard-hitting beats, and a chilling bassline are enough ot cause confusion as if you’re hearing a haunting spirit in a dark room
Suggestion
An air of evil techno menace in these beats submerged beneath the producer’s love of a sublime and ghostly groove.
