welcome nightmaster @ TF...wo wohnst du in Brasilien genau?

@ nightmaster: Welcome 2 TF! You might as well post in english, almost everyone understands the language.

Thanks for the infos!

Yeah, I know a little bit about Liebing, but I think that sometimes he plays a funky techno, sometimes its more minimal, always with a great skill! That's why I asked you that has the chance of listen in my opinion to the greatest techno DJ of our time.

Väthischist: I live in São Paulo, a city with a big eletronic scene and nights from techno to the deepest house, from drumaandbass to psychadelic trance.

If you want to have some sets from brazilian DJs I would recommend www.rraurl.com - If you want some references about the best DJs around here just reply..

I wrote in german because I didn't know as a german technoforum if it permited to write in english. Thanks for the welcome messages and needing something from here, just name it!

Sao Paulo...the NYC from South America...i've heard a lot of from parties over there...must be crazy...and now Chrisi discover&conquer this world... ;-)

...how do u've found the Technoforum?

Geschrieben von: Nightmaster (Usernummer # 3408) an :

Not just Liebing, but Technasia, Hawtin, Lenzi, Carola, Inigo Kennedy (what a presentation!), H-Foundation, Oakenfold, Steve Lawler, all the free partie crew (Geezer, DAVE, Liberators) and many others!

I usually do some researches and the best sites to find some information about techno are the german ones. As I have studied german for some years, I understant almost everything on these sites and it's possible for me to translate and bring some new infos for the "techno-addicted" brazilians .

One night doind my researches in the net I luckly found this forum. This is one of the few foruns where we can change information with people who really know about e-music in the net, so I'm enjoying a lot to participate. Do you have some idea of how many people uses this forum?

Geschrieben von: XcypherX (Usernummer # 3451) an :

Damn God, what a line-up.

Richie Hawtin, the master of desaster on two table and a final scratch, I also want to see him again!!!!

I'm glad to speak (write in) english again, it has been a pretty long time sinc I've done it the last time...

Geschrieben von: Väthischist (Usernummer # 1725) an :

how many people uses this forum?

...I'd say if you want to know it exactly email Pete or Chris...they founded this Technoforum... I think we're approximatly
3500-4000 registrated users, but not all of them are active..

Pete&Chris help me for exactly numbers :-)

Richie Hawtin was a wonderful presentation!! And Liebing yesterday was incredible! Playing in three MKs from his brand new LP's that will be launched next FEb/2002 by CLR and CLAU til the old "Sunglass At Night" and Analogon. That was a BFP (big fuckin presentation) with a funky/minimal techno. And also the man has carisma, one of the best presentations around here. :-)

Nightmaster,bem-vindo ao Technoforum

I don't speak Portuguese but I just
read the welcome message @ rraurl.com
(since Portuguese is closely related to
Spanish,I figured out what it meant :-)

Yeah,I agree - it's exciting to learn more
about the musical preferences in other
countries of the world.
That's what the web is all about, the
exchange of information around the globe.
Just listening to the hypnotic sounds
of Fabricio Medeiros.I dig his style -
groovy,funky,driving & tribal.
He's one of the top djs in Brazil,I suppose?

Glad to have you here and of course we're all
anxious to learn a little more about techno
& house music in Brazil

Geschrieben von: Nightmaster (Usernummer # 3408) an :

Hehe, that's it doppelgänger! Not so hard to understand! And we also have in this site a forum like this one, where lots of DJs from our scene take part. It's another place to change infos with some "technoheadz", but unfortunately its in portuguese. :-/

Well LongOne, Fabricio Medeiros isn't one of the top DJs around here, but he plays well.
We have plenty of Djs with high quality like Profetamine that is launching a LP by 4x4 label (a sub-label from Stay Up Forever), Renato Cohen, which records (Random Collection is one of the best) are in cases from Hawtin and Beyer, a couple called Ana & David that were invited to take part from the Red Bull Music Academy before the US problems and many others!

Since you are interested, I selected some sets from the top brazilian DJs for you! Hear them and say what you think! :-)

Ana (hardtechno) - http://www.petduo.com/petset/real/ana.ram
http://www.rraurl.com/real/djs/chuva.ram - Gil Barbara (soulful house)

Daniel UM (minimal techno and also deep house) - http://www.rraurl.com/real/djs/daniel01.ram

Mental Giu - (tech-house sometimes very groovy) - http://www.rraurl.com/real/djs/slowdown.ram

Alex S. (acid and funky techno) - http://www.baladaplanet.com.br/Entrevistas/ALEXS/AlexS.ram

Rica Amaral (psychadelic trance) - http://www.baladaplanet.com.br/Entrevistas/RICA/Rica.ram

Ps.: My UIN is 95687925, if someone wanna talk a little bit more, just add me!

Interesting!!

There we have a new "fan" of german techno man chris liebing!!
What a luck you had a few days ago!!

Listening to him and richie hawtin seems to be a great experience, so I think.
How long did Liebing play?
I also want to see hawtin again, *grrr* It's already a long time ago, since I saw him the last time.

Geschrieben von: Nightmaster (Usernummer # 3408) an :

Not just me, but many others that finished the rave with a sensation of "wow, why should I've waited so long to hear this sound!" Well he played just for 3 hours, but I heard that he usually has a night in Frankfurt where he plays straight for 11 hours!! Incredible.. Lucky german folks!

Geschrieben von: jason_ynx (Usernummer # 2636) an :

That's right, the night is every first Friday in the month. Next time it's the 2nd anniversary party with Steve Rachmad, Liebing himself and a few others. Definitely gonna check that one out!

But then, there's no space to dance. A lot of "Karstadt-Ravers" will be there, consume drugs und shout out "Schranz" again and again...

But I think on Oct., 31th I will be at Pallazzo also, Liebing, Rush and a few more Djs, yeah!!!

hi nightmaster, i'm just listening to the mix of Daniel UM, i think it sounds very interesting
any playlist available?

I've heard several times that the techno-scene in South America is just growing pretty fast. Maybe we'll enjoy more music from there soon?

Of course it is NOT forbidden to wrtite in English, is it (chris&pete?)? Why should it? The internet is a way of global communication and the language of global communication is English, so why should it be fordidden to write in English?

See my homepage for more (mostly German) technostuff
Archer

btw. the mix gets just better..

if you like Chris, you'll love Umek.
He's a guy from croatia (isn't he?)
Well his sets are a little bit harder than those from chris.

I think it's better for the starter of the track to write in english because he's from brazil.

Ram Science is a nice brazilian producer from drumandbass, he is a friend of mine, his name is Ramilson Maia and his project is called Ram Science! From drumandbass in Brazil I think you should also have heard about DJ Marky that is playing a lot in Creamfields, Movement Tours and other festivals in Europe and was nominated top dj by Knowledge Magazine! And now DJ Patife or as the english folks say: "the thin friend from Marky!" heheheh.. :-) Marky and Patife are launching another mixed CD next month in a night called Movement Brazil with Bryan Gee playing here!

Archer2000: Yes Archer, its growing very fast and I think that we just need that the promoters from diferent countries get in a conversation and start to do some exchanges for us to listen to the very best e-music around your country and for you to have the best from our e-music!!

Geschrieben von: Nightmaster (Usernummer # 3408) an :

About the playlist from Daniel UM, I will post it as soon as I receive it! He is really good, Daniel is one of the darlings in our underground scene! :-) Try to listen to Ana's set, pretty good techno!!

@Tomy

Is nich unbedingt negativ.

But if you take a look at the last releases from Liebing by CLAU and Stigmata you will hear hardtechno just like Umek.

By the way, who is playing better nowadays? Liebing or Dave Clarke?

Geschrieben von: XcypherX (Usernummer # 3451) an :

I heard Liebing @Tor3 on Sept. 22th and he played a really hard set, not slower than Umek, but his last XXL-Clubnight was not as hard as we know him...

Geschrieben von: Gianni (Usernummer # 66) an :

@nachtmeister:
there was never something liebinglike
newcomer playing like dj-godfather "red"
dave. you shouldn't even compare them two...
liebing's got no history, no style, no
ambience compared to dave...

g.

btw. know edinei from techno records do
brazil (sao paolo) or felipe sineme?

Gianni: I'm just trying to compare their sets nowadays. I know about the history and contribution from Dave Clarke to our techno world, but some godfathers like Juan Atkins are not that thing anymore! Some exceptions can be made for Colin Dale and Afrika Bambaata that were brilliant in their presentations around here!

Yes, I know Edinei! :-)

Geschrieben von: Gianni (Usernummer # 66) an :

well then send edinei my best greetings!

and have a nice night with chris - if you
like that hard stuff, you'll love it - but
that bandwidth and kinda storytelling set
like dave uses to do you'll miss ;) but
anyway - i heard of dancers that even don't
give a shit on the background of a dj but
concentrate on what's happening on the
floor ;) like it should be ;)

...do u have any mix from Ram Science?...impossible to get it in europe...even not found with tools like Napster....

I know Ram Science from a friend in Sao Paulo...she also spinning Drum'n'Bass...
She told me try to get some stuff from him..

but i don't know Marky.

Geschrieben von: jason_ynx (Usernummer # 2636) an :

Oh is that so? Maybe I should try dancing too instead of reading history books in the club, what a revolutionary idea...

@ umekdiscussion: Umek does not simply gun out hard stuff, in fact he released plenty of techhouse tracks before his latest bouts on Potential and Consumer Recreation.

@ nightmaster: Patife and Marky rock the house! I loved their Brazil Ep on V-Recordings. So far however I only heard one set by Marky which wasn't bad but not really wild.
